I think it’s great that you’re making this website, and available for free. As someone who knows some basic spanish, I feel that your teaching of conjugation is limited in that you stick to only the present tense. Obviously, I’m not sure who your intended audience is or if you will eventually build up to the past tense, future tense, and so on, but I just feel that it could have a place in your lessons.

I’ve enjoyed your podcasts. I took Spanish in high school over 25 years ago, so this is a nice refresher. I don’t think we ever learned the Vosotros form. I’m a bit confused. Do they use that in Spain? Maybe you could do a Vosotros episode! Or one on how Spanish is spoken different in different places.

In Mexico we never use “Vos” or “Vosotros” , unless in parodies about spaniards and/or depicting the vocabulary from more than 150 years ago (for beign a spanish colony). It’s used in Spain mainly.
It could be said it’s an spanish counterpart of “Thou”, both historically and grammatically, but “Vosotros” is in plural. “Vos” is in singular and is the real perfect counterpart.

Thank you so much for the lessons! I took Spanish 101 & 102, but your lessons are making it to where I actually understand the language. I like the way you break the -ar, -er, -ir verbs in the charts. I now understand when to use the pronoun endings! And that I don’t have to say “yo” or “usted” everytime to be understood. Your students are very lucky people to have a teacher like you.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post so many helpful lessons! I noticed the question words written on the board behind you, but you are standing in front of them. It would be great to see what you are writing and presenting. Also (and this is just a minor detail) the written accents on ¿Qué?, ¿Por qué? and ¿Quién? are all over the “e”–not on the “u” ¿Qúe? or “i” ¿Quíen? as they are presented.

I have a cuban girlfriend and I am really suprising her with the spanish that I am picking up. This is such a great tool!
It is so important for visitors to Spain to take the trouble to learn even some basic everyday Spanish, on my trips to Spains fabulous Canary islands I have found that speaking a little Spanish goes down well with local Spaniards who appreciate you are making an effort,this results in better service and can make the difference between a good holiday and a great one!
