Since buying a holiday home in Spain I visit at least 4 times a year. I have been learning spanish online for about 6 months now and I am starting to see steady progress. I am hoping to visit Mexico in the very near future.

Hi There,
This is a really interesting website you have here. I love it when people give information away for free instead of having us pay for it... Information should be accessible to anyone who wants it, and your Spanish podcast is great! Thanks for helping out people like me to learn Spanish without the high price tag!

Love the videoblog, Larry! I recommended it to my fellow students, and love downloading whatever podcast is relevant to the lesson we're learning this week!

You asked in your Weather episode "why are you learning Spanish?" My husband and I are taking Spanish 1, college level, because we went to Costa Rica in November, and because we live in California. Nobody who lives in this state should be without a useful second language, be it Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, or something else. Unfortunately, we both have "something else"-- French! Ah well-- at least there are many French-Spanish cognates.

PS: Noticed that Izzy from Izzyvideo is a friend of yours-- I LOVE his videoblog, too!

Hey Larry,
I just downloaded all of your episodes and I really like them. I'm in 8th grade at a school in Bryn Mawr, PA (outside of Philadelphia) and I'm taking Spanish 1. What we learn in 45 minutes of class you easily teach in 3-4 minutes. Its really great practice for me. My dad was born in Peru and lived there until he was 10, so he speaks Spanish perfectly. This past December I went to Peru and I knew some words, but not enough. I might be going to Spain next year so I'm really excited to use my vocabulary.

Thanks so much!

Hi Larry,
Just would like to say that depending on your background, LL may make a Y sound, or a SH sound. Most countries use the Y sound, but Argentina and Uruguay pronounced it as a SH not a Y. I dont know if you already knew and didnt wanna complicated your students or you didnt know.

Larry, this is the 1st podcast I have seen from your site, which I came across by accident.... I am living in Buenos Aires and trying to learn Spanish naturally by acclamation.... and as other users have noted in similar circumstances, it can help fill in the holes.... of course I have so many questions from my self-directed study. Thank you for the directness of your lessons, and please, keep them coming! May I feel free to submit questions?

Hi Larry,

I love the podcast. I'm trying to learn Spanish because I am a missionary living in Peru. I am learning but your podcasts are very helpful for review and helping me fill in holes in what I'm picking up on by living in this Spanish speaking culture.
